Family Rules Poster

I have been trying to get around designing a poster I can frame in my entry hall with "family rules" although I don't know that I would actually call them rules.

I'm placing an order next week for mine and I will happily order more.

Posters are 18"x24", printed on matte poster paper- it's not as matte as cardstock but it's not glossy either- and it's thicker than typical poster paper.  I left a little room around the edge for framing.
Posters are $25 each plus shipping.

As I'm posting this the colors are looking a little neon.  In reality they are much more muted.

Superhero Party!

Finally getting around to posting pictures from my sons superhero party.  He loves all kinds of superheros now so it was an easy party to pull together.

Here is the invitation- I tried to make it look like the batman light.  The back side of the invitation had lots of superhero logos plus a custom one for Cason.

Party guests got to choose their capes when they entered.

The capes were made with old mens shirts, then used contact paper to make stars and bleach sprayed to make the light splotches around them.  Of course, my cape had to be special!

I designed a large poster to hang above the dessert table.

All of Cason’s superhero favorites make easy decorations.

Another banner.  Wish you could see the letters in glitter.

I took a comic book and cut it into another banner.

I had some leftover paper so I made another banner.

I don’t know if you can read it but it says “grown up superhero drinks”.  You know, sprite and coke!
IMG_4308
Birthday Cake!  I made the cake and purchased some black fondant from a local baker.  Rolled it out and a friend cut all the little black circles and applied them to the cake.  I made a cake topper with his name and some superhero flags.

Popcorn bags.

Cups for punch with custom flags.

This was probably the most labor intensive part of the party.  Layered jello in little cups…. on an angle.  It’s an involved process with 3 flavors of jello, a white jello, a muffin tin, and some stamped wooden spoons.  Took forever.

And I couldn’t end without the birthday boy picture.  I got his shirt on etsy.

Custom Letterpress Enclosure Cards

Enclosure cards are great when you need a something quick to throw in that present you just wrapped and forgot to buy a card for... does that only happen to me?

These beautiful cards are a joint effort with Everything Design and Simply Pressed Print Shop.  They are letterpressed on beautiful thick cardstock on your choice of paper, ink, and design.  There's lots of information on the sheet below but hopefully it's easy to understand.  If not, please ask questions!

If you noticed, the best way to get a good price on these is to order in multiples of three.  That's not always possible for each individual so if you are not in a hurry, we can hold your order until we have three orders we can send together!

Dine by Design

Our church hosts a women's event every year where where hostesses decorate tables to their hearts desire and invite friends to join.

The theme for my table was Tea Party. I love tea and I love parties so it was a good fit!

Here's my finished table.

For party favors I made stickers to top tins and filled them with some of my favorite teas.

I have a "tree" that I use to decorate my dining room table in the spring. I took some branches from the yard and wrapped them in newspaper. I made a spring tea banner for the event.

The straw flags were used as placecards.

I also donated some of my notecard sets as door prizes. I hope they were a hit. If you are coming to this site after winning a door prize, welcome! Check out my Facebook page for the most up to date designs!

Favorite Things Friday

Today I'm the guest poster on Dina's Blog for Favorite Things Friday.  Yea!  If you don't read her blog you are missing out and if you came here from her blog welcome!
I try to keep this updated with my latest designs but to be honest, it's hard to keep up with everything.  So, the best place to see the latest is on my facebook page.  I've been working to get the photo albums on facebook in some kind of order so it's easy to find what you are looking for.

Most all of my orders are custom and I usually print everything and ship it instead of you printing at home.  I'm not opposed to sending files for you to print but most everyone I work with likes the convenience of me doing the printing (plus, if you have to send it to kinkos or something- it can get expensive fast!)

All that to say- I will do whatever works best for you!  If you don't see something you like on here or facebook just contact me- I can probably figure out a way to make it for you!

Thanks so much!

Retro Dot Baby Announcement

I realize that we are coming up on this child's FOURTH birthday but I don't think I ever posted this announcement... and it's one of my favorites.  Mostly because it's my child.

And P.S... If I'm being totally honest I never got these printed or sent out.  I was a little stressed the first few months of his life :-)

Pink Baby Announcement

Doesn't this baby want to make you have a girl?!  She's so cute!

For her baby announcement I was inspired by her pictures as well as her baby bedding (paisley).
I like to make all of my announcements and invitations different to fit each person.  Of course, if anyone ever wanted to use something that's already created- that's fine too.
